Message I found this out on the race track, if your car is light (and yours looks it) and getting a lot of back and side G-Force at the same time, you get oil starvation.

Here is a screen shot of the MOTEC oil pressure logging at a track in my Z

You can see there are two spots where the oil pressure basically halves, both time I am under heavy breaking and turning, so what is happening is that pickup is sucking air.

Sure the Speciality Z sump (or external filter/oil cooler setups) hold more oil, but if it is sucking air, not much you can do.

Accumsumps are a cheap fix, assuming they can react fast enough, but dry sump is the only real way.

Bill made that dry sump system due to me begging him and pestering him for about 12 months.

Finally after numerous other Z expenses have been paid, the car is going in to the mechanics for it to be fitted next month. Will post results in due course, but expect it to take a while.
